Our Program

Welcome to Peartree Preschool, a small home based preschool located within 5 miles of both downtown Grass Valley and downtown Nevada City.

We are a California licensed program with a maximum capacity of six children to ensure a familial environment.  We believe in a play based philosophy to early learning where we will provide a safe environment that encourages exploration, curiosity and creativity.  Our goal is to help develop our students into polite, compassionate and resilient children with a love of learning.

Our early-childhood program offers children ages 3-5 years old with developmentally appropriate activities and focuses on the “whole child.” Through creative exploration and play, we aim to support each child’s cognitive, physical, emotional, and social growth. Our program incorporates social and environmental awareness into our curriculum and emphasizes earth-friendly practices and healthy choices.

We provide a rich variety of learning experiences including art, music, movement, science, block constructions, books, cooking, gardening, and dramatic and sensory play.  We also provide a healthy organic lunch as well as a morning and afternoon snack.

Our program follows  a school year calendar from September through May.
